Interpretation design by the Maltings - case studies...
The Maltings interpretation studio offers a full-service solution – often working alongside a small, hand-picked team of skilled associates… whether your requirement is a single interpretive panel or the ground-up development of a new museum, the team provides the expertise to take you through the journey from initial funding applications to final installation and beyond.
We have worked together at the Maltings studio since 1989. We are exceptionally skilled in interpretive development, design, illustration and project management, embracing an artisan approach, constantly developing skills and always striving to make our next work our best yet.
We will work closely with you, so we maximise the value of your combined knowledge, your vision, your hopes and aspirations, your concerns and the key issues that need to be addressed so we deliver the required outputs for design, content and implementation.
Our aim is to develop interpretation that will make the space engaging, exciting, informative and memorable to visit for a wide range of visitors, in ways which are realistic, practical and affordable. We firmly believe that spending large budgets on installations in an attempt to ‘sell’ a mediocre story is not the way to succeed. Great interpretive stories must lead the design - and the designs should bring them to life for the visitor through exciting, innovative and surprising solutions which meet the established requirements of your brief.
Below are just a small number of the diverse range of projects we had the pleasure of delivering in recent years. Some of these have been produced for large heritage trusts and some for smaller organisations. They range from individual design commissions, right through to full museum refits and refreshing popular visitor centre environments.
We do hope you find them relevant, informative and most importantly - inspirational.
